The Program CostsA Challenge Day typically costs approximately $2,500, plus the cost of travel and lodging for the two Challenge Day leaders. A Challenger Day costs roughly the same amount. As the travel distance required for the trainers is quite long, a minimum of two days has been required. Therefore most events in the Alachua County area have included both a Challenge Day and a Challenger Day on consecutive days. With travel and lodging costs, the two-day event costs between $6,000-$6,500. These costs are assessed by the national non-profit Challenge Day organization. They cover the cost of leaders for the two days of the event and for the two to three days of transportation time required to get them here, the cost of flights, hotels and meals for the leaders, facilities rental and the costs of the national organization, such as administration, websites, brochures and materials, etc. The national organization (Challenge Day, Inc.) is a 501(c)(3) charitable group, and all contributions to them qualify as tax deductible. The local Alachua County Circle of Change organization is all volunteer. Many local supporters contribute a great deal of time and effort to bring these programs to Alachua County.
